MEREDITH CLYMER
Gehlen Catholic Elementary
Meredith Clymer is a 5th and 6th grade science teacher at Gehlen Catholic
Elementary in Le Mars, Iowa. She also teaches 6th grade language arts. In addition to her classroom roles, Meredith serves as Geheln’s
STEM Coordinator, writing grants and securing funds for school-wide STEM
projects, and leading the elementary STEM Club. She is also Gehlen’s Math
Club Coordinator.
She began her time as a NASA Nebraska Space Ambassador in 2013 as a
pre-service teacher at Creighton, and carried her experiences into her 5th and
6th grade classrooms in Omaha and Grand Island before relocating to
northwest Iowa. Meredith served as a Nebraska STEM Fellow, and has
worked with various science curriculum teams. She has attended yearly
trainings to bring back her excitement for space education with pre-service
and in-service teachers, and students across central Nebraska and Northwest
Iowa.
While Meredith and her husband, Kyle, now live in Sioux Center, Iowa with
their son Graham, she is still able to serve Northeast Nebraska and
surrounding areas.
