Mike teaches Astronomy, AP Environmental Science and Chemistry at Millard South High School.
Mike has a degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Natural Science Education and a Masters from Peru State in Curriculum and Instruction. He is also retired Nebraska Army National Guard with two deployments to Afghanistan. Mike joined the NSA team from its inception and actively works to find methods to incorporate space and STEM education into existing curriculum. His focus is to transform hands on activities to new digital platforms to increase student access to space and STEM education. Mike has a passion for science and works to provide numerous opportunities for student engagement, hoping that his love of science and space will be passed on to the students in his classroom.
Mike is also the Head Boys Track & Field coach for Millard South and is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying upland game hunting, camping, boating and hiking. He is supported by his wife Nicole and their two daughters, Alexa and Rian.
